Once we accept Christ, God requires us to transform from our old sinful ways into the people he has called us to be. However, some people fight with God over behaviors, habits, relationships and the trappings of the world that they love and just cannot seem to let go. God is patient and kind and will keep sending his Holy spirit to convict us of our wrongdoing and help us overcome everything that separates us from God.

But, if you keep resisting, the Lord will leave you alone and let you do what you want to do. With our free will, we can accept God or reject him. He never leaves us, but as a Holy God, he cannot dig in the mud of sin with you. YOU have to decide to come out of the ditch, rinse off the stench of sin, repent, and follow the ways of God.
