You need to be saved from your wrong behavior (sins) and wrong thoughts.

Romans 3:23-24 (NLT): “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.”

God sent his son, Jesus, to free you from your sins.

John 3:16 (NCV): “God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life.”

Your faith in Jesus puts you in right relationship with God.

John 14:6 (NCV): Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me.”

Speaking or confessing your faith in Christ is the first step to salvation.

Romans 10:9-10 (NCV): “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and if you believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you will be saved. We believe with our hearts, and so we are made right with God. And we declare with our mouths that we believe, and so we are saved.”
