I must admit that the holiday blues is real, and I have not been in the spirit for a few years. However, instead of powering through in silence and attempting to be inspirational when I really don’t feel like it, I am sharing my honest, uncut feelings about this time of year.
You are a Christian, but you feel stuck. Why don’t you seem to get blessed like so many others? Why don’t things come easily for you? The answer might surprise you.
Unfortunately, we often feel stuck in our Christian growth due to feelings of guilt and condemnation. We often distance ourselves from God when we feel wrong or ashamed for something we have done.
Just as God formed the world with his words, we also have the ability to shape our lives with the creative power of God’s word.
Whenever they need to talk, you always make yourself available. But, as soon as you need them to return the favor, they have something else to do.
When you co-sign, you become fully responsible for someone else’s debt. Hear real life stories of men and women who co-signed on car loans for significant others that turned sour.
I cannot explain how it happened or how it felt to be freed from issues that had plagued me as a single woman. The more I studied the Bible, the more free I became.
Friendship is important, especially in these uncertain times. Pray for God to lead you to like-minded Christians for mutual support and encouragement.
Although we appreciate the times WE have been forgiven for our mistakes, we still find it difficult to extend this courtesy to others who need this level of compassion from us.
