“For our God is a consuming fire.” — Hebrews 12:29
Father God,
You are holy. You are righteous. You are the most high God, El-Elyon. You are the only true and living God. You are El-Shaddai, the all-sufficient one. I come before you with praise and thanksgiving for life, breath, and salvation in the name of Jesus. Thank you for creating me in your image.
Thank you for grace and mercy. Thank you for seeing me. You are El Roi—the God who sees me. You see my struggles. You know what I need. Thank you for being my provider—Jehovah Jireh—what I need shall be seen and will show up in my life.
Thank you for hearing my heart and my desire to grow closer to you and to be free of evil spirits that try to influence my mind, body, and soul. You are Jehovah Nissi, my banner that goes before me and gives me victory in Jesus. Thank you for being Jehovah Shammah; your presence is always with me and I am never alone.
God, the word says you are a consuming fire (Hebrews 12:29). I’m asking you to send your holy fire in my life to consume everything that separates me from your presence and your love. I declare that nothing can separate me from the love of God. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate me from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus my Lord (Romans 8:38-39). Lord, draw closer to me, as I draw closer to you (James 4:8).
You are a faithful God. You are Jehovah Shalom, my peace in times of trouble. Thank you for strengthening me, and guarding me from the evil one (2 Thessalonians 3:3). I declare that the joy of the Lord is my strength (Nehemiah 8:10). I will bless the Lord at all times. His praise shall continually be in my mouth (Psalm 34:1). You are good and your mercy endures forever (Psalm 136:1). God, you are great and worthy to be praised. I will bless your name forever and ever, because you are good to me. Blessed be the name of the Lord (Psalm 145). Amen.
Father God, I repent and renounce every known and unknown opening to a religious spirit in my family line even back to the 10th generation. I repent and renounce every opening–known and unknown–in my personal life that I have given to a religious spirit, and every work of darkness connected with it.
Lord, I repent for not fully receiving Your love, compassion, mercy, grace and forgiveness. I renounce any belief that You, Father God, are distant and judgmental. I choose to embrace all aspects of Your character and to intimately know You. I repent for allowing myself to be led by any other spirit than the Holy Spirit.
I repent for relying on my own intellect in worship, praise, prayer, reading of the Word and spiritual Warfare. I repent and renounce all legalism, traditions and religious formulas.
I repent and renounce all participation in dead works. I repent and renounce all dullness to the things of God. I repent and renounce hardness of heart. I pray for the oil of Your Holy Spirit to give me a new heart and renew a right spirit within me.
I repent and renounce placing man’s opinion of me above yours. I repent and renounce any compromises that I have made that show a lack of integrity. I repent and renounce all compromises in my attitude toward sin. I repent for trying to hide my sins instead of confessing them, for not receiving correction, for being defensive and quick to justify and rationalize my sin. I repent and renounce all deception and hypocrisy. I repent and renounce all pride, arrogance and self-righteousness.
I repent and renounce all comparison, judgment, criticism, gossip, jealousy, covetousness and anger. I repent and renounce all persecution and slander of those moving in the Holy Spirit. I repent and renounce every act of rebellion that has reinforced the spirit of religion in my life. I choose to be obedient. I choose to no longer partner with the same religious spirits that accused Jesus and that continue to frustrate the work of the Holy Spirit today. I choose to no longer oppose God.
In the name of Jesus, I break every hex, curse, vow, spell, incantation or ritual of witchcraft that have I participated in, knowingly or unknowingly. I break the curse of every unlawful evil covenant, blood covenant, sacrifice or blood sacrifice that was performed by me or my ancestors back to 10 generations. I break every ungodly soul tie in my personal life and in my family line.
I break and rebuke all legal rights, openings and doorways that allowed the spirit of religion to harass me and negatively affect my life. I plead the blood of Jesus Christ against all forces of darkness that have been launched against me. I bind those spirits and command them back to the pits of hell. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for saving me from evil. God is faithful. He gives me strength and protects me from the evil one.
In the name of Jesus, I come against the spirit of religion that has been operating in my life. I refuse to allow that foul spirit to steal my intimate relationship with God. I refuse to allow that foul spirit to destroy the anointing of the Holy Spirit in my life. My God is a consuming fire. In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I decree and declare that the spirit of religion has no power to lie or deceive me or to pull me away from the plans, purposes and blessings that God has designed for me to receive. In the name of Jesus, I declare that I am free indeed.
Thank you Lord! Amen.
