Black Women and Kingdom Marriage

black women and christian marriage blog post

“God has made everything beautiful for its own time…” — Ecclesiastes 3:11, NLT

Some church groups have idolized marriage and presented it as a prize for chaste and proper Christian women. However, marriage can spark emotional triggers in women who have been racially and socioeconomically disenfranchised, particularly black women. On the other hand, some women have jumped into marriage before truly understanding what to expect and have been woefully disillusioned about the realities of marriage. This message is a candid girlfriend talk that challenges women to develop a more realistic understanding of what it means to seek God about marriage and becoming a wife.
