“…you have a full and true life in Christ who is ruler over all rulers and powers.” — (Colossians 2:10, NCV)
Everything seems to remind you of that man. That commercial you guys laughed at; the song you danced to for the first time. Your memories of this person are still filled with heartache and longing, but what exactly are you longing for? He had enough flaws to make the two of you incompatible. He treated you poorly. Yet, you manage to romanticize your relationship, and long to return to the way things were before they got all messed up. Maybe the breakup was a mutual thing and no hard feelings resulted from it. In fact, as far as you can remember you, guys had really nice moments together, but for whatever reasons you are no longer a part of each other’s lives. You find yourself thinking of this person every day, even if only for a little moment. Unfortunately, the “opposite attracts” theory often leads to a break-up for Christian women.
